Objectives of the project
Overall goal
To build capacity of academicians, researchers and students from African and Palestinian and higher Education Institutions (HEI’s) in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology through training and field mobility to European partner institutions and infrastructural upgrading.
Specific Objectives of the project
- To improve the levels of skills and competence of the graduates in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology through developing and adopting improved curricula in the consortium universities;
- To increase the internalization of the Plant Breeding and Biotechnology programme through jointly delivered courses and supervising in partnership with HEIs of Europe, Africa and Middle East.
- To strengthen capacity of the academic staff in teaching and research activities in plant breeding and Biotechnology program in the partner countries;
- To improve agricultural technologies for better productivity, sustainability, environmental safety and export possibility of the major crops in the targeted countries
- To foster regional integration and cooperation of the consortium countries through joint initiatives
